I Spy quilt for Ezra

I made Ezra's I Spy quilt by raw-edge appliquing all these little cute things I've been collecting for about a year.  It's roughly a twin size.

It was lots of work, but I hope he has some fun with it.  He did manage to christen it already in the middle of the night recently.  Poor mom and dad had quite a mess to clean up I imagine.  But the quilt, and Ezra, came out okay in the wash!

Mug rugs

I've been busy making mug rugs for the ladies that volunteer their time in our church nursery.  I collected coffee/tea/soup mugs from TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Home Goods, etc. and I'm matching up some fabrics to complement them.  It's fun and I hope they like them.

Whole cloth hand quilting

I received this queen-sized whole cloth quilt from a coworker.  Her partner's mom passed away, leaving behind this almost-finished lovely muslin beauty.  She was a pretty fair hand-quilter.  I hope to do it justice and get it finished some one of these days.  It's really tough on the fingers, though, thus, the thimble.

Baby girl quilt kit finished

I finished this baby quilt a while ago but have not been able to gift it to the recipient YET.  Hopefully this coming weekend.
I thought this kit was going to be sewn together like a Trip Around the World - wrong.  Each piece had to be sewn together individually!  But it's pretty, nonetheless.
I love the backing fabric - I think it's Philip Jacobs?  And I didn't have quite enough so I put a strip of gray on the left side.  I hope Olivia likes it!  She was born May 3 and shares her birthday with my son, who is now 24 years old.
By the way, Happy New Year to you all!
